Real beach glass is among the many magical things that are slowly disappearing from our planet.
These beautiful shards of glass, thrown into the sea long ago have spent countless years tumbling around on the ocean floor, sculpted smooth as silk by sand before washing up on some distant shore.
These lavender pieces are from the collection of a gentleman who lived on Antigua almost 80 years ago that I was fortunate enough to acquire. According to his granddaughter, he spent years combing the beaches of this small Caribbean island for these rare treasures.
As you can see, I've added one of my own. I think he's quite at home in rich lilac seas.
